Mobile Detailing in Adelaide: How It Works and What to Expect

If you’ve only ever taken a car to a detailing shop before, the idea of a detailer coming to your driveway instead can raise a few obvious questions. Here’s how it actually works.

What “mobile” actually means

A mobile detailer brings the equipment to you rather than you driving the vehicle to a shopfront — we come fully set up with our own water and gear, so there’s no need to book a slot around a shop’s opening hours or find time to sit around waiting at a premises. It works at your home, your workplace, or anywhere with reasonable access for the vehicle and our equipment.

Where we work

Adelaide metro and regional South Australia, 7 days a week. Whether that’s a driveway in the suburbs, a rural property, or a work site for a fleet vehicle or piece of equipment, the same service applies — see our Services & Pricing page for the full range, from car packages through to trucks, caravans, boats and heavy machinery.

Booking and pricing

Car packages have fixed pricing based on vehicle size (small, medium, large), so you can see exactly what a Most Popular Detail or a Cut & Polish costs before you book. Larger or more specialised jobs — caravans, boats, trucks, heavy machinery — are quoted individually, since the range in size and condition is too wide for a fixed price to make sense. For those, a quick description of the vehicle (and photos if you have them) is enough to get a price.

What to expect on the day

  • Access matters more than anything else. A flat, reasonably accessible spot — a driveway, car park, or yard — is really all we need. If you’re not sure whether your space will work, mention it when you book.
  • Time varies with the package. A quick package takes a lot less time than a full detail with paint correction, and large vehicles naturally take longer than a car. We’ll give you a realistic idea of timing when you book.
  • You don’t need to stand over the job, but it helps to be reachable in case anything about the vehicle needs checking with you along the way.
  • Weather is factored in. Light rain doesn’t stop most exterior work, but we’ll be upfront if conditions on the day mean rescheduling makes more sense than pushing through.

Why people choose mobile over a shopfront

The obvious one is convenience — no dropping the car off and organising a lift, no gap in your day built around someone else’s location. But for larger vehicles it’s often the only practical option: heavy machinery and a lot of commercial equipment simply can’t be driven to a shopfront, and caravans or boats are enough of a hassle to tow anywhere that having the work done where they’re already parked or stored is the easier call every time.
